Herkimer police: Rite Aid robbery may be connected to Utica robberies

(WKTV) - The Rite Aid pharmacy in Herkimer was robbed around 9 p.m. Monday, Herkimer Police said.

According to authorities, a man entered the store at 205 S. Caroline St., threatened a clerk and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect may have traveled to and from Herkimer via the New York State Thruway. Herkimer police say the man may have been involved in robberies at the Dunkin Donuts and Red Roof Inn in Utica on Monday.

The suspect is a black male, who was wearing a dark-colored coat over a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. He was wearing light-colored pants and a dark baseball cap.

Rite Aid has offered a $2,000 reward. Anyone with information is asked to call the Herkimer Police Department at 866-4330. All calls may be kept confidential.
