Road turn into rivers for morning commuters in Poland

By WKTV News

POLAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - Thursday morning's severe weather cut a swath throughout numerous parts of the area, including the Village of Poland, were roads were practically turned into rivers.

Drivers attempted to make their way through high waters during morning commutes, but drivers like Daniel Dillon found that nature itself had other plans.

Dillon said he was on his way to work Thursday morning when the road gave way underneath his truck.

"I was in the ditch for a bit and I gave it gas and it pulled right out, but I got lucky there, because it was sucking me right in," Dillon said.

Dillon's truck had two flat tires and his front fender got pushed in when his truck collapsed into the ditch.
