Three arrested in Rome drug bust


ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Rome Police Department announced the arrest of three men on drug charges, Saturday.

At 8:30 p.m., Friday night, Rome Police Department Special Investigations Unit/Detective Division, Special Response Team and K-9 Unit, in conjunction with the Oneida County Drug Enforcement Force Task Force, executed search warrants on three rooms at the Econo Lodge Motel on East Whitesboro St. in Rome.

During the search, police found and seized undisclosed amounts of heroin, crack cocaine, packaging materials, cash and digital scales.

Police then arrested Oba "Piru" Loney, 31, of Rome, Lyndell T. "Pops" Ladson, 30, of Rome, and Jasper Lucky, 31, of Brooklyn, all on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell, a class B felony.

All three defendants are currently being held in the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
