ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Grow Rome Project aims to create a series of community gardens in public spaces and at schools throughout the city, and this week could be a big break for the projects. They've entered a contest to win $10,000 in grant money. You can vote by heading to the Rome Clean and Green Initiative link, but you must be at a computer. You can't do it from your smart phone. The project targets youths of low to moderate incomes as well as at-risk citizens in the community. They learn by growing and harvesting foods, then enjoying the fruits of their labor.
