Rome Police Officer from AT&T Shooting nominated for "America's Most Wanted All-Star"

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Rome Police Officer is one of the nominees in the running to become an "America's Most Wanted All-Star."

Officer Donald Moore joined the Rome Police Department in 2007. In May 2010, he found himself in a shootout when he was off-duty and in line at the AT&T store on Commercial Drive in New York Mills.

While standing in line, an irate customer entered and started firing his gun, wounding a store employee. Officer Moore took action and returned fire, ending the threat.

Officer Moore was also involved in the river rescue of a 7 year old girl in 2009. Also in 2009, he won the "Officer Joseph D. Corr Memorial Award" for having the most DWI arrests.
