Rome Police make arrest in armed robbery, second suspect still at large

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police have arrested 21-year-old Joshua Sharon in connection to an armed robbery at Kekis Citgo .

They caught up with Sharon in the 100 block of Turin Street, but they say another suspect is being sought.

Police believe Sharon entered the store around 2 a.m. on June 22 and demanded money from the clerk.

When the clerk question his demand, police say he lifted the front of his shirt to reveal what appeared to be a handgun.

The clerk gave Sharon an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

That's when he fled and was seen meeting up with an accomplice at the rear of the store.

Both men were seen leaving by bicycle heading north on Lyons Street.

The accomplice is described as a white male who was wearing a white t-shirt, dark shorts, a dark hat with a logo, and a dark colored backpack.
