Rome couple arrested following domestic dispute

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Oneida County Sheriff's investigators say 27 year old Becky Lynch was driving a Ford Explorer westbound on Route 840 in the Town of Whitestown Saturday night around 9:45 p.m.. Lynch says her passenger, 29 year old Jonathan Green punched her several times in the face, while driving, as the result of an argument.

Investigators say the violence continued until the intersection of Sutliff Road and Route 233, also in Whitestown. That's where witnesses say Green got out and Lynch then drove on two residential lawns chasing Green with the vehicle, damaging the lawns and another vehicle before coming to rest in a ditch.

Deputies say as they were responding, both Green and Lynch ran into a wooded area to avoid them. They were both caught a short time after.

Lynch is charged with D.W.I., police say if convicted it would be her second D.W.I. offense. Lynch was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

Green is charged with assault.
