Rome man accused of sexually assaulting girl as she slept
LEE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Rome man has been charged after authorities say he sexually assaulted a woman at a house party in the Town of Lee.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a 25 year old woman was brought to the Rome Memorial Hospital Emergency Room on January 27, reporting that she had been sexually assaulted at a home on Golly Road in the Town of Lee early that morning. The hospital staff then contacted the Oneida County Sheriff's Office and an investigation began.
Investigators say the woman was sleeping in one of the bedrooms at the house party on Golly Road when she woke up to find Ryan T. Little, 24, of Rome having contact with her.
Little has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual act and was committed to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $40,000 bail.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is not releasing any further information into the investigation at the present time.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
