(WKTV) - A 19-year-old Rome man faces a rape charge after he was arrested Friday, the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center said.

Tyler Hart, 19, of Rome is charged with rape in the second degree.

According to officials, the arrest follows a month-long investigation into allegations Hart was engaged with an ongoing sexual relationship with another person under the age of 15.

Hart was being held in the Oneida County Correctional Facility. His bail has not yet been set.

The case was investigated by Rome Police Detective Rich Galluppi, who is currently assigned to the child advocacy center.
