Rome police investigate second homicide this week

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Rome police this morning are investigating a second homicide in the city in just one week. WKTV has a crew on the scene.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired late last night in the area of Stevens Street and West Thomas Street.

Police, fire and rescue crews responded to the scene.

Police say they expect to release more information this afternoon.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call detectives at 339-7715.

Earlier this week, on Tuesday, 50-year-old Charles Digristine was found dead as s result of multiple gunshot wounds at his residence at 115 Lawrence Street.
