Rome police seeking help in identifying scam suspect

(WKTV) - Rome police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man accused of pulling a scam at the Walgreens store on South James Street.

According to the Rome Police Department, a man came into Walgreens around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and tried to purchase a pack of gum using a $50 bill. He then produced a $100 bill and was able to confuse the clerk into an additional $50 in change. The scam is referred to as a "quick change" scam.
