Rome teen faces charges after Thruway fireworks display

ROME, N.Y.(WKTV) - A Rome teen is expected back in court Wednesday accused of setting of fireworks in an unlikley place. State Police say he was celebrating Independence Day a little early along the New York State Thruway.

James Marchesani, 17, is charged with unlawful possession of fireworks after police say he set them off at the Oneida Service area.

Police say he actually works at the service area.
