Rome woman accused of collecting unemployment while working

(WKTV) - A Rome woman was arrested Wednesday and accused of collecting unemployment benefits while she was employed, New York State Police said.

Christina M. Rappa, 48, of the 700 block of West Dominick Street, is charged with felony grand larceny in the third degree and falsifying business records in the first degree.

According to officials, Rappa allegedly stole more than $6,500 in unemployment insurance benefits from the State of New York while she was gainfully employed.

She was sent to Oneida county Jail on $10,000 bail.
