Rome woman takes part in 26 mile marathon in NYC to help fight breast cancer

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. (WKTV) - A 26 mile marathon walk to raise money for breast cancer research was held in New York City over the weekend, and a local woman says she was proud to be a part of it.

Maryann Mazzaferro of Rome took part in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in New York City on October 20 and 21.

The event raised $8.3 million for breast cancer research and had Mazzaferro ready to come back for more next year.
