By WKTV News

(WKTV) - The City of Rome is getting a Runnings store, the company said Friday.

The store will open at the old Home Depot on Erie Boulevard and will employ about 70 people. The store is scheduled to open in the fall.

Runnings carries everything from clothes, sporting goods, tools, toys and pet and farm supplies.

There are also rumors that Runnings may run a distribution center out of the old Rite Aid location, but the company would not confirm.

Runnings is based in Marshall, Minn., and primarily has locations in Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
