Sangertown Mall hold 3rd Annual Quackdown on Breast Cancer


NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A celebrity mother was at the Sangertown  Mall for the 3rd Annual Quackdown on Breast Cancer, Saturday.

Carol M. Baldwin, namesake of the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Fund, and also the mother of actors Alec, Steven, Billy, and Daniel Baldwin, made an appearance at Sangertown Square to support the event.

Baldwin, originally of Syracuse, attended Syracuse University before she moved to Long Island with her husband to raise their star-studded family.

Her husband, Alexander died from Lung Cancer in 1983, and Carol was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1990.

Recently, she has moved back to Syracuse, where her Breast Cancer Fund is based.

Saturday's event was sponsored by Cooperative Magnetic Imaging of Utica, with money going towards Baldwin's research fund.
