Sauquoit Elementary School students celebrate with film

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Fourth graders a Sauquoit Elementary School got to see the short movie put together by their peers as part of the YMCA Film Program.

The film "Heroes" was incorporated into the school's all-school assembly Wednesday. In addition to the movie, which took three months to complete, the students got to release some energy by performing gymnastics and dancing.

"There's more to a student than a test result, and there's more to a student than just a grade," said Tracy Facchini, Sauquoit Elementary Teacher. "There's a lot of very special things that these kids bring to the school and celebrate all of them."

Earlier this year, the students did presentations on butterflies, Earth Day, singing and a piano recital.
