Schenectady man accused of selling heroin in Oneonta

(WKTV) - A Schenectady man who showed up for a probation appointment in Schenectady County was arrested on a drug warrant out of Otsego County Court, according to the Otsego County Sheriff's Office.

Tyron Edward Morris, 28, of Schenectady is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree.

According to authorities, the arrest comes from a narcotics investigation by the sheriff's office criminal investigation division and the Oneonta Police Department Detective Bureau. Morris allegedly sold heroin to another person in the City of Oneonta in August 2013.

Morris was sent to the Otsego County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail. He faces up to 12 years in prison on the sale charge, and additional time on a probation violation. He was on probation for an attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance charge.
