ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) -- A long line of employees walks out of Remington Arms mid-day Friday, some taking their routine lunch break, over 100 others leaving for the last time.

Hundreds of employees at the Defense Finance Accounting Service in Rome gathered in the DFAS cafeteria Monday to hear assurances from U.S. Senator Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., that their jobs are safe. Schumer brought reassurances from the Army secretary and comptroller.
