Second Amendment supporters hit the road to protest Safe Act

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Around 100 local Second Amendment supporters and New York Safe Act opponents are headed to Albany on Tuesday morning to rally against the law.

The Second Amendment rally is expected to draw several speakers, including celebrity businessman Donald Trump.

One local Second Amendment advocate says he and others like him want the governor to know they're not registering their assault weapons by the approaching April 1 deadline.

And they will not rest until the Safe Act goes away.

"We are 100 percent against the New York Safe Act," said David Cruger. "We are down there for one thing and one thing only: For 100 percent repeal of the Safe Act. It's just an absolutely an atrocious law and we're down there to get rid of it."

Cruger calls the New York Safe Act "one infringement on the Second Amendment after another."
