Senator Seward: "cutting spending the way to go"

ALBANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - It's being described as a budget of pain.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is releasing his new budget for the upcoming fiscal year - a budget that comes in at a whopping $133 billion, but includes no new taxes or borrowing.

School aid and Medicaid are on the chopping block, with cuts of two and three percent respectively, along with the possibility of nearly 10,000 state layoffs.

Pat Bailey was in Albany Tuesday afternoon in preparation for the budget address, and talked with State Senator James Seward about his thoughts on the budget.
