Serial rapist found driving homicide victim's car is back in Oneida County

ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Robert Blainey, the serial rapist who was found in Pennsylvania, has been extradited to Oneida County as of late Tuesday night. Blainey was found driving the car of Linda Turner, the owner of the Davis Motel who was found dead on the property last Thursday.

Around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, he was turned over to the Oneida County Sheriff's Department and currently sits in Oneida County Jail.

Utica Police Chief Mark Williams said Monday that Blainey will likely face murder charges in the death of Linda Turner.

Authorities have been on the look out for Blainey recently, after he disappeared from parole in late October.

A news conferences is likely to happen during the day on Wednesday.
