Seven years later: Officer Thomas Lindsey not forgotten

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - It has been seven years since Utica Police Officer, Thomas Lindsey, was gunned down during a traffic stop on Neilson Street.
Besides serving the city of utica for more than five years as a police officer, Lindsey also served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Lindsey is remembered every year through various fundraisers that help support the children in the Greater Utica area.
On Saturday, the New Hartford Police Facebook page has a message stating: "Today our thoughts and prayers are with Tom Lindsey's family and the Utica Police Department. 
"We will never forget your sacrifice, Tom."
"When a police officer is killed, its not an agency that loses an officer, its an entire nation." said Chris Cosgriff, founder of the Officer Down memorial page. 

Officer Lindsey died at the age of 32.
