Several receive promotions in the Oneida County Sheriff's Department

(WKTV) - A few retirements in 2013 mean several new promotions in 2014 at the Oneida County Sheriff's Department.

The Oneida County Sheriff promoted 10 people in the department to various levels, including corporal, sergeant and lieutenant on Friday.

The promotions are in both the criminal and civil division of the department. According to the sheriff, all are hard-earned and well-deserved promotions.

"I am just blessed to be surrounded by such a high level of, not only dedication and commitment, but intelligence to the law enforcement knowledge they possess," said Sheriff Robert Maciol. "They put their hearts and souls into serving the people of Oneida County."

Maciol also credited the families who sacrifice for their loved ones in law enforcement.
