Sheriffs: Man steals purse at Turning Stone Casino

VERONA, N.Y. (WKTV) - An Oswego man was arrested Saturday at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino after he allegedly stole a purse from the gaming floor, according to authorities.

Oneida County Sheriff's says that 25-year-old Michael Sanderson was taken into custody by Turning Stone Security.

Officials say that while at the casino, Sanderson attempted to flee security.

Sheriff deputies arrived at the casino and found Sanderson in possession of a stolen debit card belonging to the woman who reported her purse missing.

Sanderson is charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

Additional charges may be filed at a later date.
