Sheriffs: Westmoreland woman is victim of identity theft

WESTMORELAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Westmoreland woman was the victim of identity theft according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say 31-year-old Daryl Wells of Wynantskill, near Albany, was arrested for illegally using personal information of the woman to make purchases online.

The arrest stems from a July 2012 complaint where the victim noticed unauthorized charges to her account, police say.

Wells was charged with identity theft.
