Sheriff's office seeks information on Forestport robbery

(WKTV) - The Oneida County Sheriff's Department is seeking information on a robbery Sunday evening in Forestport.

According to officials, deputies responded to the Forestport Station Country Store on Woodhull Road in the Town of Forestport around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The clerk working at the time said a man entered the store and left a note on the counter demanding money. The clerk complied and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 6"2' with a thin build. He was wearing a black mask and a green jacket.

Anyone with information or that may have seen a suspicious person or vehicle in the area is asked to contact Investigator Grant Langhenrich at (315) 765-2765. All calls will be kept confidential.

New York State Police assisted the sheriff's department at the scene.
