Sherrill man escapes death after car flips in New Hartford

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Sherrill man is injured, but still alive despite a horrific car crash that occurred late Saturday night.
According to New Hartford Police, James Rapasadi was traveling on Rt. 5 near Homestead Rd., when he swerved off the road and into a ditch before rolling his car several times.
The car came to rest on the front lawn of a residence, but was severely damaged in the process.
Officials said that Rapasadi complained of arm pain, and was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for treatment.
However, he avoided further injury due to wearing his seatbelt. 

Rapasadi was given a traffic citation for moving from a lane unsafely.
