UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - There are only a few days left until Utica's big St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 17.

On Tuesday, the traditional "Passing of the Shillelagh" to this year's grand marshal took place at the Hotel Utica.

The shillelagh was passed from the 2011 Parade Grand Marshal, Oneida County Judge Michael Dwyer to the 2012 Grand Marshal, Pat Costello, of Whitesboro.

Costello has worked for the past two decades with Project Children and is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
