Sidewalk Art Show kicks off outside Munson Williams

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - For those who like a little art with their summer, the Sidewalk Art Show outside Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute has kicked off.

Works of art such as paintings, photographs and sculptures are all on display outside Munson Williams. And each year, visitors are amazed at the talent in their own community. One grandmother and granddaughter make it a tradition to come on the first day of the show to cast their ballot in the People's Choice Awards.

"I love judging on the first day," said Jeanne Stevens. "So we're excited about that. And it's just a tradition with me and my granddaughter."

Sidewalk Art Show fan Danielle DeCarlo likes the local aspect.

"I really like to go here every year," she said. "It's super fun because it's local, and you don't have to drive two hours to get to an art museum."

The show continues all weekend and runs through Wednesday.
