Six charged in connection with meth manufacture in Oneida

(WKTV) - Six people face charges in connection with alleged manufacture of methamphetamine in three apartment buildings in the City of Oneida, authorities say.

John S. Barlow Sr., 41, of the 300 block of Washington Avenue in Oneida, is charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and conspiracy.

Rikki L. Sochia-Ortman, 24, of the 100 block of Madison Street in Oneida, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and conspiracy.

Craig R. Bean, 28, of the 6000 block of Happy Valley Road in Verona, is charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and conspiracy.

Jesus Camacho, 42, of North Peterboro Street in Canastota, is charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and conspiracy.

Rodney C. Ortman, 45, of the 100 block of Madison Street in Oneida, is charged with criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material, conspiracy and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Trisha Kimball, 42, of the 100 block of Madison Street in Oneida, is charged with conspiracy.

According to Oneida City Police, authorities responded to and removed material used in the manufacture of methamphetamine from three apartment buildings on Madison Street. Among those items seized were muratic acid, Drano, lithium batteries, pseudoephedrine and three vials of methamphetamine. The six were arrested on Wednesday. Authorities say one of the suspects allegedly had a plastic bottle explode, which injured him.

The six were arraigned at Oneida City Court.

Barlow was sent to the Madison County Jail on a $100,000 cash bail. Sochia-Ortman was sent to Madison County Jail with a $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. Bean was sent to Madison County Jail with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Camacho was held without bail. Ortman was sent to Madison County Jail with bail set at $2,500 cash. Kimball was released on an appearance ticket.
