Staatsburg man arrested after Rome domestic dispute

(WKTV) - A Staatsburg man faces charges after a domestic dispute in the City of Rome, New York State Police said.

Raymond Vargas, 46, of Rymph Road in Staatsburg, is charged with menacing in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree and harassment in the second degree.

According to officials, troopers responded to a domestic dispute on Rome Oriskany Road on Saturday. Vargas allegedly menaced a woman with a piece of a wooden table and subjected her to physical content. He also damaged property within the home.

Vargas was sent to Oneida County Jail. Bail was set at $5,000.
