State Police: Human remains in Little Falls found in crate
LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - New York State Police confirm to NEWSChannel 2 that the human remains found outside of an abandoned building Wednesday were found in a crate.
Police also said that the remains were found under some sort of debris and that the victim had been deceased for several years. It is not clear how long the remains were at this exact location.
The gender of the remains still have not been determined.
Police said Thursday there is a chance that remains are the body of a missing elderly man who had not been seen since between 2004 and 2006. At that time, the man was under the care of others in the area, according to police.
The remains were found in the backyard of a home at 59 1/2 Flint Avenue. Neighbors say the home had been abandoned for the past few years.
Authorities ask if anyone has any information about the discovery to call 315-366-6000.
