(WKTV) - When most people think of tourism in Upstate New York, they may think of snowmobiling, hiking or a wine tour.
But what about the state's haunted past?
The 400-mile Haunted History Tour now spans 20 counties. Locally, some of the attractions include Hulbert House in Boonville, Yesterday's Royal in Sylvan Beach and the Rome Capitol Theater. You drive yourself on the tour and listen to an audio clip for each destination. It's not gory, but is meant for those looking for a paranormal experience.
"These are legitimate," said Kelly Blazosky of Oneida County Tourism. "They're looking for people who are conducting legitimate investigations, and those that want experiences that have already been (determined) as truly happening."

Last year was the first year for the tour, and Oneida County received 400 requests for information.
