Structure fire in New Hartford kills 3


UPDATE: As of 4:55 p.m., New Hartford Fire Chief and Police Department has confirmed that the fire at the residence on Osborn St. has resulted in three fatalities.

According to officials, two males, ages 3 & 7, were killed following a roof collapse that trapped them in the residence. One female, 21, was found dead in the basement.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released, and the investigation is still ongoing.

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A structure fire reportedly left victims trapped inside of a house at 11 Osborn Rd., near the Sangertown Square Mall, Saturday morning.

At approximately 10:54 a.m., Fire Officials were dispatched to a fire near the intersection of Dixon Rd., and Irving Rd. in New Hartford.

Upon arrival, they discovered that the heavily damaged residence had trapped victims inside during the blaze as fire crews were working frantically to free the victims.
