Students at MVCC turn abandoned building into house of art

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica building was transformed from an abandoned mess, to a beautiful art exhibit, Thursday.
Students in the MVCC Photography program plastered hundreds of photographs that they have taken throughout the year to the walls all over the building, for a senior class show that they are preparing to hold.
There were a variety of subjects within the spread of photos, which attempted to capture the essence of the Utica area.
The title of the project was "Class Space 315."
"It's called Space 315 so future classes can use the same exact thing and they can use it in the future," said Photography club president, Deanna Hopkinson. "So were making something into a production bigger than what we are."

The exhibit opens Friday at 920 Columbia St.
