UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Students and faculty at the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute's School of Art were busy putting the finishing touches on a new exhibit, Friday.
It was the final preparation for the Sophomore Art Show, which opens on Saturday, showcasing the work of second year students heading to Brooklyn next year to finish their studies at the Pratt Institute.
Before leaving Utica, however, they get to show their work along-side the "masters."
"What we're seeing here is the culmination of a lot of work, a lot of effort, we're seeing students really come into their voices as artists," said Dean of Academic Affairs, Ken Marchione. "The teachers take pride in how far along they've come."

The exhibit goes on display Saturday, and will be available for public viewing up until May 26th.
