Students experience a day at the theatre with 'Click, Clack, Moo'
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - "Click, clack, moo" - that's the sound made by a group of cows who get a hold of a typewriter and start making demands of Farmer Brown in exchange for their milk supply.
The contemporary children's classic by Doreen Cronin came to life Wednesday at the Stanley Center for the Arts, courtesy of Theatreworks USA and Yellow Bus Productions.
Organizers say it's a great way to get kids out of the classroom and experience the world of the performing arts first-hand.
"It's very exciting to see the kids walk by the box office," said Siobhan Woods, Marketing and Communications Manager of the Stanley. "Everybody's really excited to walk through the theatre to see (everything). You know, a lot of them haven't even seen this place before. They don't see things like this, so it's really nice to see their faces and the excitement of the kids."
The Yellow Bus Program allows school children of low and moderate income families to fully benefit from the educational experience of live performances of the Stanley.
