ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The man accused of killing an Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy has been released from the hospital.

Sheriff Robert Maciol says that Christian Patterson is now being held in the Oneida County Jail.

Patterson is charged with aggravated murder and could now face more charges in connection with the shooting death of Deputy Kurt Wyman.

Members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Department were attempting to end a six-hour stand off when they fired rubber bullets at the armed suspect and he returned fire, killing Deputy Wyman. It all took place in the early morning hours of June 7.

Patterson's attorneys have yet to apply for bail.
