(WKTV) - A Schoharie County teen faces numerous charges in connection with an accident that killed a man in May in South Worcester, the Otsego County Sheriff's Office said.
Paul Joseph Clark Jr., 18, of Charlotteville, is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, criminally negligent homicide, reckless driving, driving while ability impaired by drugs, speeding and improper passing.
According to authorities, around 5 p.m. on May 16, deputies were investigating a fatal accident on County Road 40 in South Worcester. Officials say the investigation showed Clark was allegedly impaired on drugs when he was speeding and recklessly driving a 2000 Saturn that crashed into a parked Fed Ex delivery truck. Devon McMahon was killed in the accident and Maureen Clark was seriously injured. The two were passengers in Clark's car.
Clark was arrested on Tuesday. Clark posted a $10,000 bond at court after he was arraigned in Worcester.
If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison on the aggravated vehicular homicide charge.
