Tenney says she will seek Assembly seat again

(WKTV) - Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney says she will seek re-election in the New York State Legislature after he defeat in the 22nd Congressional District Race.

Tenney said she will make an official announcement as early as next week. She says she has the backing of the Conservative Party. The deadline to submit signatures is in a few weeks.

Herkimer County Sheriff Chris Farber has already announced his intentions to seek the seat and has the backing of the Herkimer and Otsego County GOP committees.

A third possible primary candidate is Matt Watkins, who is a member of Tenney's Assembly staff.
