FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Cake Boss Buddy Valastro brought his expertise to The Friendly Bake Shop in Frankfort back in March to create a transformation.

An hour-long special about that transformation aired on TLC on Memorial Day.

Tuesday, the bake shop saw its usual hustle and bustle, but checked in to see just how much has changed. T

The Friendly Bake Shop was chosen to be a part of the Cake Boss show, The Bakery Boss.

Not only did they help the owners, the Viti family, transform the look of the bakery, but Valastro also had some suggestions about the menu.

In the end, the owners say it was a great experience working with Valastro.

"He was laid back," Carrie Viti said. " He really wanted to help us out. He has a great personality."

There was a bit of anxiety that Valastro might come in with a big television star ego.

" That was one thing we were concerned about," Tony Viti said. " Was he going to come in screaming? It really wasn't that. He wanted to help. There were times on camera, and off camera...and he was the same. He would just give us his opinion, and he was right most of the time.

The episode was filmed in March.
