The Stanley unveils plans for its 85th anniversary party

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Save the date, Nov. 2, for the Stanley's 85th Anniversary Party.

Executive Director Jerry Kraus and the event committee unveiled the grand plans Thursday morning at a press conference in the Utica theater's grand lobby.

The party is called 'Roll Out The Red Carpet'.

There will be live entertainment throughout, and plenty of food, beer, wine and soft drinks.

A cash bar for mixed drinks will also be available.

The cost per ticket is $50 and the entire theater will be opened up to the public.

The local band Soul Injection will perform on the theater's main stage, where those in attendance can get up on stage with the band and dance.

Other entertainment includes The Amy Lyn Duo, Al Nathan & Bluestreak and Sound Investment DJs, which will be playing dance music in another part of the grand old building.

There will also be valet parking and of course, a red-carpet entrance.

Organizers would love to see 3,000 tickets sold.

Kraus says money raised will help pay off some of the Stanley's debt and he hopes local residents realize how valuable a resource the Stanley is. Kraus is hopeful people will come out and support the theater by taking part in the celebration.

Tickets can be reserved by calling (315) 724-4000.
