(WKTV) - An Edmeston woman who is accused of stealing handguns from a home in the Town of New Lisbon now faces additional charges after she allegedly tried to bite two officers, the Otsego County Sheriff's Office said.
Angela Eileen Feitzinger, 24, is charged with two counts of felony attempted assault in the second degree, and misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree and resisting arrest.
According to officials, when Feitzinger was placed under arrest for the larceny charge, she became enraged. As investigators and deputies attempted to handcuff her, she is alleged to have violently struggled with them. During the arrest, officials say she tried to bite one of the investigators and ripped a piece out of his shirt. After she was restrained in handcuffs, she allegedly tried to bite a correctional officer who was assisting deputies.
An additional $2,000 bail was added on her previous $10,000 bail set on the gun theft and possession charges. Feitzinger faces an additional eight years in state prison.
