One of the 22 businesses that received help last year from the revolving fund includes Domhnall Winery and Vineyard in Herkimer.

John McDonnell started up this winery in 2007 and said he was short on cash at a time.

He applied for a funds through the county which for him, has made all the difference.

"Thanks to the grants I was able to sell my first bottle of wine from my first harvest," said McDonnell.

With the money he received last year, he was able to purchase equipment and put electricity in his winery.

His wine is now sold in 30 liquor stores and 12 restaurants across the state.
