(WKTV) - Three Ilion teens are accused of being involved in several burglaries in Herkimer County, New York State Police said.

Seth Colangelo, 17, of Grove Street in Ilion, Anthony Gay, 17, of East Clark Street in Ilion, and Morgan Waseleski, 17, of Hoefler Avenue of Ilion, are charged with burglary in the first degree.

According to officials, state police were investigating a  burglary that happened around 4 p.m. Thursday in the Town of Warren. The burglary was reported after the homeowner came home and found three people inside his home. The homeowner attempted to stop one of the people from fleeing and suffered a minor hand injury.

State police say the three stole an iPod from the home and fled in a car westbound on Robinson Road toward State Route 28. The homeowner said one of the three lost his shoes at the scene. A state trooper pulled a car over on Robinson Road that matched the vehicle description and noticed one of the three in the car was shoeless.

The three were transported to New York State Police in Herkimer and upon interviewing the suspect, authorities learned they were allegedly involved in other burglaries in Herkimer County, including a break-in on Kingdom Road in the Town of Columbia on Feb. 18 where a .357 Magnum revolver was reported stolen. On Friday, the handgun was located, fully loaded, in a wooded area off Baum Road in the Town of Herkimer.

The three were sent to Herkimer County Jail on $25,000 cash bond or $50,000 bail bond.
