Three arrested in unusual Utica robbery

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Three people have been arrested after police said they robbed a home on the 1600 block of sunset avenue, Friday. 
According to officials, Robert holmes, Samuel Thompson and Alexander Walker, all of utica, tried to rob the residence, and even called in a fake 911 call from inside the house in order to lure police away from the scene. 
The call allegedly stated that there had been shots fired on Genesee St., and turned out to be false.
Authorities said that a concerned neighbor called the police when they noticed flashlights from inside their neighbors home, and knew the person was not home at the time.
Holmes has been charged with burglary, possession of a burglar's tools and petit larceny. 
Thompson has been charged with burglary and petit larceny, and Walker has been charged with burglary, petit larceny, possession of a burglar's tool and false reporting an incident.

All three are set to answer the charges at a later date.
