Three busted for selling, using heroin with children in house
ONEIDA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police in the City of Oneida say have arrested three people after a three-month-long heroin investigation lead to a bust on North Lake Street.
Jonathan Harp, 28, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Conspiracy, and five counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child after a heroin bust Wednesday night.
Harp, and two others are alleged to have possessed 9.2 grams of heroin with the intent to sell it. That amount has a street value of $3,000, according to police.
They say Harp was working with Matthew Petzoldt, to purchase and transport heroin.
Petzoldt and Michele Jones, 23, are alleged to have used and sold the drugs at the Lake Street address in the presence of children between the ages of one and six.
Bail is set at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond for Harp.
Jones faces will answer her charges at Oneida City Court on October 12.
Matthew F Petzoldt, 29, was charged with Conspiracy in the 4th degree a class E Felony and five counts of Endangering the welfare of a child. He'll also appear on October 12th.
Additional charges of Criminal Possession of a hypodermic instrument are pending for the three.
Items seized by police include; heroin, hypodermics, digital scale, packaging, cash, and cell phones.
The children have been placed with a relative.
