Traffic stop leads to drug charges for Utica man

(WKTV) - A traffic stop early Wednesday led to the arrest of a Utica man on drug charges, Utica police said.

Brian Dionne, 38, of St. Anthony Street, is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and several traffic summons.

According to officials, around 3 a.m. Wednesday a man was stopped on Sunset Avenue. He was taken into custody for a suspended driver's license. When the man was searched at police headquarters, he is accused of having two baggies of a substance that tested as cocaine.
