Travel advisories issued for Madison, Oneida counties

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Travel advisories have been issued for Madison and Oneida counties, officials say.

The Oneida County advisory is issued until further notice, County Executive Anthony Picente said.

The Madison County advisory is a restricted travel advisory, meaning only essential travel should be attempted. The Madison County Sheriff's Office says all roads in Madison County are extremely hazardous.

The advisory has been issued because of conditions caused by persistent snow and falling temperatures, creating slippery roads. Conditions are expected to worsen throughout the day. Caution is urged when traveling area roadways.
